This is a single-cask Speyside single malt from Aberlour, bottled independently by Archives as part of its The Fishes of Samoa series. It was distilled on 27 April 2006 and bottled on 9 July 2018 after 12 years in the cask.
It comes from barrel #102 at a cask strength of 56.8% ABV, with an outturn of 194 bottles.
The nose opens with honey, lemon and toasted oak, then vanilla, coconut, malt and baking spices. The palate is full-bodied and sweet, with malt, vanilla and sponge cake, then orchard fruit, pepper and firm oak. The finish is warming and persistent.
