Ardbeg Fermutation is a 13 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2022 at 49.4% ABV for the Ardbeg Committee. It is non-chill-filtered. It began with a boiler breakdown that left six washbacks unattended, producing a three-week fermentation, the longest in Ardbeg's history. The spirit was matured in a mix of first-fill and refill ex-bourbon casks. The character is the distillery's peat smoke alongside estery fruit and herbal notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
