Ardbeg – 14 Years Anthology Unicorn's Tale (70cl, 46%)

Ardbeg 14 Years Anthology Unicorn's Tale is a 14-year-old Islay single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtering. It is the second release in the Ardbeg Anthology series and draws on the Islay legend of the unicorn. The whisky was matured in a mix of Madeira casks and Ardbeg's classic ex-bourbon casks. The nose is rich and fruity, with baked banana bread and syrupy sponge. On the palate come strong smoke and zesty lime, with soft barley and burning cedar in the background. The finish brings menthol, clove and camphor in a smoky close.
