This is a 17 year old Ardbeg single malt from Islay, selected and bottled by Murray McDavid for its Mission Gold collection. It was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2026 at 57.2% ABV, with an outturn of 149 bottles. The whisky matured in an Oloroso sherry butt, which brings dried fruit and richness to Ardbeg's peated spirit. It is described as having dense bonfire smoke, maritime salinity and earthy peat, alongside dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warming spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
