Ardbeg – Heavy Vapours Committee Release 2023 (50.2%)

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a limited-edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky, created as the Committee Release for Fèis Ìle (Ardbeg Day) 2023 and bottled at 50.2% ABV. For the first time in the distillery's modern history, the spirit was distilled without Ardbeg's purifier, so the heavy vapours normally sent back into the still pass into the spirit. It was matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered. The style is described as denser smoke and darker sweetness, with creamy vanilla, citrus and a strong coastal character.
