Ardbeg – Wee Beastie 5 Year Old

This is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, heavily peated and bottled to show the distillery's smoky character in a young, bold form. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, with the sherry adding richness and sweetness. The nose brings rich smoke and a maritime character. On the palate come dark chocolate, cracked black pepper and smoked bacon, with hints of vanilla, green apple, aniseed and fresh herbs.
