Ardlair 8 Year Old Ardavelis (1st Fill Sherry Cask) (70cl, 57.1%)

This is an 8-year-old Ardlair, the unpeated expression from Ardmore Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. It carries the name Ardavelis and comes from Scotch Universe's Alien Edition, bottled at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent all eight years in a first fill sherry cask, and 298 bottles were produced. Without peat smoke, the natural character of the malt, with its fruity aromas and sweetness, comes through more clearly than in Ardmore's usual lightly to moderately peated spirit.
