This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Ardmore, matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength, 58.5%, in a 50cl bottle.
Ardmore stands in the north of Scotland and is known for peated whisky. Here the malt was peated with a light touch before ageing in the bourbon barrel.
The wood and vanilla from the cask sit alongside a peat character that is ashy and slightly iodine.
