Ardmore – 12 Year Old Livingstone Presents Macbeth: Seyton, The Household Series (70cl, 52.5%)

A 12 year old Highland single malt from Ardmore, bottled at 52.5% in a 70cl bottle, in a release of 3200 bottles. It was matured in casks that previously held heavily peated Islay whisky, which adds smokiness to the distillery's mineral character. Seyton, Macbeth's armourer, is one of ten whiskies chosen to portray Macbeth's Household in a series inspired by the Scottish play. The artwork is by Sir Quentin Blake. Expect pine needles and woody herbs, with a lingering note of chocolate mint.
