Ardmore – 12 Years Portwood Finish

Ardmore 12 Years Portwood Finish is a Highland single malt made entirely from peated malt at 12 ppm. Rather than the distillery's usual quarter cask maturation, it was aged in ex-bourbon and ex-port casks to give a fruitier aroma. The nose offers fresh fruit and berries with orange and spice. On the palate there are fresh, juicy apples with meadow honey and soft charcoal smoke, and the finish is a little smokier and drier, with a very soft character.
