Ardmore 15 Year Old Release 18 is a Highland single malt made in collaboration with ThisIsLostBoy, bottled at 57.1% in an outturn of 250 bottles.
The whisky spent time in a refill hogshead before moving into a Pedro Ximénez barrel. It keeps the balance of smoke and sweetness Ardmore is known for here, letting the spirit come through with a little dried fruit and oak polish.
The nose offers campfire smoke, singed sultanas, toasted cereal and honey on burnt toast. The palate is sweet and sooty, with treacle tart, dark malt, peppery smoke and prune jam. The finish is long and warming, with dry spice, charred oak and smoke.
