This Ardmore is a 25-year-old Highlands single malt bottled by Thompson Bros. in 2024 at 48.9% ABV. It was vatted from two refill hogsheads filled with spirit distilled in 1998 and 1999, and 463 bottles were drawn from them. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings fennel, mango and kumquat, with a farmyard note, a little petrol and burning gorse. On the palate it is creamy, with smoked yellow fruit, lemon, eucalyptus, peat smoke, herbs and some wood. The medium to long finish offers dark chocolate, ash and a touch of caramel, with smoke and a mineral note lingering.
