A nine-year-old Highland single malt from Ardmore, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2018 by Wilson & Morgan at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a peated whisky matured in ex-bourbon casks, with the smoke sitting over a sweet, malty base.
Soot, tar and peat smoke lead the nose, like a pine-wood bonfire, with mint, camphor and resin behind. The body is creamy and velvety, with vanilla, honey, chamomile, beeswax and sweet liquorice.
The finish brings the light sourness of green banana and lemon peel.
