This is an 11 year old Ardmore single malt from the 2012 vintage, matured in a hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 59.5%. It is a Highland malt, bottled without colouring or chill-filtration for Berrys' Own Selection.
The nose is earthy wood smoke with ash, herring, cereal and biscuit, and over time a little tobacco and fruit cake. On the palate it is very smoky yet restrained, with cedar, smoked straw, pipe tobacco, lime and citrus peel. The smoke of a wood fire lingers in the finish.
