Ardmore – 25 Year Old 1997 The Single Malts of Scotland (70cl, 52%)

This is a 25 year old single cask Ardmore from the Highlands, bottled by The Single Malts of Scotland at cask strength, 52%, in a 70cl bottle. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered. The whisky was distilled on 23 October 1997 and matured in a bourbon hogshead until it was bottled on 13 June 2023, yielding 269 bottles. The nose offers a light touch of smoke around the sweetness of bourbon vanilla. The palate is layered, with spicy fudge and fine wood notes. The finish is gently smoky, with the dry structure of oak.
