This is a 13 year old French single malt distilled at Armorik in 2009 and bottled by Auld Alliance at a natural cask strength of 60.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of a new series for the Singapore whisky bar of the same name.
The whisky spent nine years in bourbon barrel, then four years in a Gevrey-Chambertin cask, a Burgundy Pinot Noir cask from the Côte de Nuits.
Blackberry and blueberry come with earthy tones, leather, liquorice and cocoa. The palate shows dark fruit, and the finish is long.
