Arran – 15 Years Rare Batch Peated Sherry Butts (54.4%)

This is a 15-year-old Arran single malt from the distillery's Rare Batch series, which began in the second half of 2021. It was made from barley peated to 20 ppm and matured entirely in ex-Oloroso sherry butts. It is a limited edition, bottled at a cask strength of 54.4%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The colour is a deep amber. The nose brings citrus, rock sugar, oak and campfire smoke. The palate is soft and rich, with oak in front and sweet citrus and spice beneath. The finish is long and woody, with early sweetness turning to lingering dry smoke.
