Arran – 18 Years

Arran 18 Years is a single malt from the Isle of Arran distillery, now in new packaging with the whisky itself unchanged. It is a vatting of hand-selected sherry casks from the distillery's older stocks. It is described as rich and complex, with notes of citrus, orchard fruit, milk brioche and dark chocolate. In the tasting notes, the nose has baked peaches with honey and roasted almonds, with toasted sherry cask and fine spice. The palate is full-bodied, with crystallised ginger, crème brûlée and caramelised brown sugar. A few drops of water bring out floral notes, macadamia nuts and bitter orange marmalade. The finish blends hazelnut and nougat with lightly toasted brioche and caramelised apples.
