A single malt from Arran, distilled in 1997 and matured in a sherry butt. It was bottled by the independent bottler Murray McDavid at 51.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery stands on the island of Arran, between the west coast of Scotland and the Kintyre peninsula. It began production in 1995, later than planned, because a pair of golden eagles were nesting on the site chosen for it. Harold Currie, who had risen to director at Chivas, built it.
