Arran – 1998 Hunter Laing Old & Rare (70cl, 55.8%)

A single malt from Arran, from 1998, bottled by Hunter Laing as Old & Rare at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands on the Isle of Arran, between the west coast of Scotland and the Kintyre peninsula. It came into production in 1995 after a delay, as a pair of golden eagles was nesting where it was to be built. Harold Currie, who had become a director at Chivas, built the distillery after a long career in the whisky industry.
