Arran – Amarone Cask Finish

An Arran single malt matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Amarone red wine casks. The finish gives it an intense red colour and pronounced fruit character. It is the third bottling in Arran's wine finish series, following the Port and Sauternes finishes. The nose offers pear and honey, then toasted almonds and a little coffee, with a hint of chocolate in the background. On the palate there is dark chocolate, cherries and caramel, with plums, apricots and a touch of cinnamon. The finish is round and soft, with strong fruit and oak.
