Arran – Amarone Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

This is an Arran single malt Scotch whisky finished in Amarone wine casks, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It first matured in traditional oak casks over a number of years. It was then finished in casks from an artisan Amarone producer in the Veneto region of Italy. The nose offers cherry, Turkish delight and chocolate. On the palate there are poached pears, a touch of cranberry and honey. The finish is sweet, with pears, Turkish delight, cherries and dark chocolate.
