Arran – Amarone Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

Arran Amarone Cask Finish is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle and supplied in a tin. It now belongs to the distillery's core range. The whisky was first matured in ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Amarone wine casks from a craft Amarone producer in the Veneto region of Italy. The finish gives it a deep red colour and clearly fruity character. The nose offers cherry, Turkish delight and chocolate. On the palate there are poached pears with a hint of cranberry and honey. The finish is sweet, with pears, Turkish delight, cherries and dark chocolate.
