This is a single malt from Arran, finished in Amarone casks and bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands on the Isle of Arran, between the west coast of Scotland and the Kintyre peninsula. It began production in 1995, later than planned, because a pair of golden eagles was nesting on the site chosen for it. Harold Currie built it, having worked in the whisky industry for many years and risen to director at Chivas.
