Arran – Bonfire Signature Series Edition 2

Arran Bonfire is a peated single malt from Arran, and the second release in a four-part limited Signature Series. Each bottling in the series was chosen by Stewart Bowman, manager of the Lochranza Distillery, and approved by him. This one shows the more heavily peated side of Arran, at 42ppm. It was matured in quarter casks in Warehouse 4 at Lochranza. The 115-litre casks first held bourbon at Koval, a small distillery in Chicago, which uses this made-to-order size for its own whiskey before the casks make their way to Arran.
