Arran – Kildonan & Pladda Island 21 Year Old The Explorers Series Volume 3 (70cl, 50.4%)

This is a 21 year old single malt from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 50.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the third volume of The Explorers Series, which celebrates the landscapes of the island, and this edition looks from the hills above Kildonan towards Pladda Island. It is an outturn of 9,000 bottles. The whisky matured for 21 years in ex-sherry butts and puncheons, then was finished in Ruby Port casks sourced directly from Portugal. Tasting notes begin with rich, fruity aromas of orange peel, nectarine and a floral touch of violet.
