Arran – New Port Cask Finish

Arran Port Cask Finish is a single malt from the Isle of Arran distillery and part of its core range. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks in the usual way, then given a further period in port casks. The port finish adds intense fruit character. Arran chose some of its best casks for the Cask Finish range, which also includes Amarone and Sauternes finishes. The nose is vanilla, spice and citrus with nuts, and sweet mandarins and fine caramel behind. The palate is full of baked apple, raisins and cinnamon, round and warming. The finish is long and sweet, with strong malt.
