Arran – Sauternes Cask Finish (70cl, 50%)

A single malt from Arran, distilled and matured at Lochranza on the Isle of Arran. It spent 8 years maturing in oak casks and was then finished in a selection of ex-Sauternes casks, which held the sweet French wine from Bordeaux. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. It comes from the distillery's refreshed range, with new bottles and new packaging. The nose is sweet, with honey and citrus. The palate adds lemon zest, a light saltiness, vanilla, raisins and gently charred oak. The finish is sweet, with honey, apricot and melon.
