The Bodega is an Arran single malt distilled at Lochranza and matured for seven years in first-fill sherry hogsheads. It is bottled at 55.8% ABV.
The sherry influence runs through it, with dried fruit and chocolate to the fore. The nose offers orange chocolate, Christmas spices, plenty of dried fruit and toasted oak.
On the palate there is juicy sherry, chocolate-dipped cherries, raisins and a hint of caramel. The finish brings oak spice, dark chocolate praline and charred oak.
