Arran – Sherry Cask The Bodega (70cl, 55.8%)

This is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, bottled at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit comes from the Lochranza distillery and spends seven years in first-fill sherry hogsheads. It is bottled without chill-filtration and without added colour. The casks were chosen by Arran's Master Distiller together with producers in sherry bodegas in Jerez, Spain. The bottling looks back to some of the earliest Arran single malts, which were mostly matured in sherry casks. The nose has toffee, sweet spice and fruit. The palate shows ripe figs and cherries, and the finish brings dark chocolate, mandarin and more ripe figs.
