Arran Sherry Serenade is the fourth edition in the Signature Series, chosen personally by distillery manager Stewart Bowman. This island single malt from Lochranza matured for nine years in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Amontillado sherry casks.
It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour, and shows a warm honey tone. The release is limited to 13,371 bottles worldwide.
Orange peel, dark toffee and soft cocoa lead the nose, with a malty note beneath. Caramel and creamy toffee meet sherry spice on the palate, and the finish is long, with lingering toffee sweetness and a trace of cocoa and orange.
