Arran – Signature Series Edition 1 Remnant Renegade (70cl, 46%)

Remnant Renegade is the first release in Arran's four-part Signature Series, which began in autumn 2023. It is a blend of Arran single malts chosen by distillery manager Stewart Bowman, drawn from remnant ex-sherry hogsheads, ex-sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels, the oldest dating back to 2017. It was distilled and matured at Lochranza. Bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, it is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The run is 14,863 bottles. The nose offers toffee apples, vanilla, cinnamon, clear orange blossom and star anise. The palate is silky and balanced, with light liquorice, menthol herbs and honey, and the finish is long, with orange peel and fresh floral notes.
