The Bothy is an Arran single malt that has become part of the island distillery's permanent range. It matured first in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then spent two years finishing in quarter casks, which are considerably smaller than a standard cask. It is bottled at 56.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is honeyed malt with oaky spice and a hint of bright citrus. Coconut and almond lead the palate, followed by apricot, pineapple, black pepper and menthol. The finish is a lingering cherry and cinnamon.
