Atom Brands Wormtub

Wormtub is a Scotch whisky from Atom Brands, built around spirit condensed in traditional worm tubs, a method associated with a heavier, fuller-bodied style. The current concept uses sherry-finished Speyside whisky, with components described as 10 and 12 years old. The character centres on sweet spice, dried fruit, nuts and savoury richness. The nose brings raisins and other dried fruit with sweet spice, candied walnuts and a rich, savoury maltiness. The palate is robust and weighty, with sherried fruit, nuts, warming spices and savoury, cured-meat notes. The finish is rich and persistent, with dried fruit, spice and savoury malt.
