This is a 12 year old Auchentoshan single malt from the Lowlands, from the Battlehill series bottled by Duncan Taylor. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Auchentoshan stands on the western edge of Glasgow, close to the River Clyde. It is counted as a Lowland distillery even though its water comes from the Kilpatrick Hills, which belong to the Highlands. The spirit is triple distilled in three stills of different sizes, a method once typical of the region, and the distillery is said to date from around 1800.
