Auchentoshan Virgin Oak is a Lowland single malt in a 70cl bottle, at 46% ABV. The distillery stands on the western edge of Glasgow, near the River Clyde and the Erskine Bridge, and takes its water from the Kilpatrick Hills. Its three stills of different sizes are used for triple distillation, a method once common in the Lowlands. Auchentoshan is said to have been founded around 1800.
