This is a 17 year old Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, distilled in 1997 and bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range. It is bottled at 48.4% abv, a strength that is unusual for the range, and has a straw colour. The nose is full of citrus, with cider apples, lime, lemons and kiwi. The palate brings mineral notes, elderberry eau-de-vie and a drop of orange blossom water. The finish is medium, with touches of classic wine gums and a good deal of Auchentoshan character.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
