Dark Oak is a triple distilled Lowland single malt from Auchentoshan, made as a travel retail bottling and released in 2019. It comes in a one-litre bottle at 43%. The whisky was matured in bourbon, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The nose is very sweet, with apricot, jam, candied orange and vanilla. The palate starts soft and stays sweet, balanced by some wood and pepper. The finish is rather short and recalls sweets.
