This is a 14 year old Aultmore single malt from Speyside, selected and bottled by Thompson Bros. The spirit was distilled in 2008 and 2009 and bottled in June 2024 at 48.5%, without chill filtration.
It is a vatting of two first-fill rye barrels and a third of an Oloroso octave, the two cask types giving complementary profiles.
The nose has banana bread, green olives, pistachio, orange zest, tangy pineapple, ground cinnamon and a floral note of rapeseed. The palate is sweet and spicy, with Haribo fried eggs, woody spices, a hint of Manzanilla and subtle chilli. The finish is medium in length, spicy, with a coating texture.
