This is a 14 year old Aultmore single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 by Simply Good Whisky at 58.7% ABV. It was matured in a first-fill Amarone barrique, and only 50 bottles were filled. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings dark cherries, raisins, brown sugar and cream toffee, with soft milk chocolate behind. On the palate it is fruity, with cherries and red berries, more cream toffee and milk chocolate, and a background of fine spice and light tannins. The finish is medium in length, with fruity notes moving towards spicy ones.
