Aultmore 15 Year Old Ruby Marsala Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt, a 2023 limited edition bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It belongs to a trio of Aultmore whiskies finished in different styles of Marsala, the fortified Sicilian wine. This one was finished in Marsala Rubino Dolce casks, whose fruity flavours and high tannins are said to bring cherries, ripe plums and the tang of pomegranate.
The nose is lightly sweet with fruit and a hint of spice. On the palate come cherry, peach, plum and pomegranate, with a slight woodiness and some tannins.
