Aultmore – 2005-2021 15 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Single Cask Spiritual Home Exclusive (70cl, 54.3%)

A single cask Aultmore from Speyside, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2021 by Gordon & MacPhail at 15 years old. It is the eighth edition of the Spiritual Home Exclusive bottlings and is bottled at a cask strength of 54.3%. The whisky matured in a refill bourbon barrel that yielded 232 bottles. Aultmore is more often seen from sherry casks, so this offers the distillery's spirit from a bourbon cask instead. The nose has lemon peel, green apple and mango. The palate brings smooth pineapple, honeydew melon and charred oak, and the finish is medium sweet with lingering fruit.
