This Aultmore is a Speyside single malt distilled in May 2013 and matured for twelve years in a first-fill hogshead. North Star Spirits bottled it in August 2025 as part of its Cask Series 026, at a natural cask strength of 57.7% in a 70cl bottle. The cask gave 251 bottles, with no colouring and no chill-filtration.
The nose sets mossy, damp-earth notes against peach and apricot, with wildflowers, mild honey, crisp apple and pear, lemon peel, vanilla and soft malt. The palate is creamy and powerful, with salty oats, brown sugar, pear, stewed apple, toffee, white pepper and a gentle herbal touch. The finish is long and dry, with honeyed malt and fresh fruit.
