Aultmore – Provenance 8 Year Old 2015/2024 (46%)

This is an eight-year-old Aultmore, a Speyside single malt bottled by Douglas Laing in its Provenance series. It was distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024, after maturing in a single refill hogshead that yielded 385 bottles. The strength is 46%, with no chill-filtering and no added colour. Aultmore was founded in 1896 and stands near Keith. Douglas Laing is a Glasgow family firm, founded in 1948. The palate offers dark chocolate with plums and sultanas. The long finish adds cinnamon and a lasting peppery spice.
