A peated French single malt from Bache-Gabrielsen, made from French barley. The malt is peated to 35 ppm, and the whisky is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
It is matured twice, in two different types of former Cognac cask.
The nose brings an animal note, wild earth and sea spray with roasted almonds. The palate is powerful and lasting, with clove and black pepper meeting smoke and grilled notes. The long finish is shaped by peat without hiding the malt, with roasted peanuts in the aftertaste.
