Baileys Salted Caramel is an Irish cream liqueur that adds buttery caramel and a pinch of sea salt to the familiar Baileys base of fresh Irish dairy cream, Irish whiskey and spirits.
The salt keeps the sweetness in check, so the caramel reads as toffee and dulce de leche rather than anything cloying. It is bottled at 17% ABV and can be served over ice, or stirred into coffee or hot chocolate.
On the nose it is buttery caramel and vanilla over sweet cream. The palate is silky and rich, with toffee, dulce de leche and a hint of cocoa, and the finish is smooth and mellow with a light savoury edge.
