Baker's 7 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon (70cl, 53.5%)

This is a 7 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 53.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is a small batch bourbon from Jim Beam, made by hand in small batches and named after Baker Beam, Jim Beam's grandnephew. Despite the strength it is notably soft, which is credited to the yeast used for fermentation, in use for 60 years. The colour is amber. The nose has delicate fruit with strong vanilla and caramel. The palate is oily and very spicy, with sweet honey, roasted nuts, dried fruit and vanilla. The finish is long and very soft, with plenty of vanilla.
