Balblair – 12 Year Old A.D. Rattray Cask Collection (70cl, 57.4%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Balblair, bottled by A.D. Rattray in its Cask Collection. It was distilled on 21 June 2011 and bottled on 26 June 2023 at a cask strength of 57.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent 11 years in a sherry butt, then a further 12 months in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, with 603 bottles filled. The nose brings sticky raisin, may rose and morello cherry. On the palate come dried cranberry, bergamot and sugared almond, and the finish offers Turkish delight with pistachio and date.
