Balblair 17 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, American and Spanish oak. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose combines ripe apples and pears with honey and vanilla, along with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate has a velvety texture and notes of dried fruit, creamy caramel and dark chocolate. The sherry casks add raisins and spice, while the bourbon casks bring sweetness and light oak.
