Balblair 12 Years Old is an independent single malt bottled by Finn Thomson Whisky as part of its Private Cask Collection, in an edition of 144 bottles. It was distilled on 5th April 2014 and bottled on 26th June 2026 at natural cask strength, after a finishing period in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask.
Balblair was founded in 1790 on a hillside overlooking the Dornoch Firth and is known for long fermentation and slow distillation. Here its bright, delicate character meets the sweetness of PX wood.
The notes run to layers of dried fruit, rich sweetness and warming spice.
